BEFORE YOU ORDER
Common installation and use questions.
The buy box contains the key specifications. These answers cover the situations that usually require more context.
Will it replace a ducted RV air conditioner?
No. InstaCool Ultra uses a non-ducted air distribution box. Choose a ducted-compatible model if your RV distributes air through ceiling ducts.
Does the heat pump replace a propane furnace?
No. The heat pump is intended for milder cold and shoulder-season travel. Freezing conditions may require a properly sized propane furnace.
What size RV is it intended for?
Fogatti positions Ultra for RVs up to approximately 36 ft and about 600 sq. ft. Actual performance varies with insulation, layout, humidity, sun exposure and outdoor temperature.
Can I run it from an inverter and battery bank?
Yes, when the inverter, battery bank, wiring and charging system can support both compressor startup demand and continuous operation. Check the complete power system rather than inverter wattage alone.
Can an RV owner install it?
Experienced owners may complete the work, but the job involves lifting a 100.3 lb rooftop unit, sealing the roof opening and connecting 115V power. Professional installation is recommended when any step is unfamiliar.
What should I measure before ordering?
Confirm a 14.25 × 14.25 in roof opening, roof thickness between 1.2 and 5.0 in, a non-ducted ceiling layout and suitable 115V / 60Hz electrical service.
How is the unit controlled?
Use the Fogatti WiFi app, handheld remote or touchscreen air distribution box to adjust temperature, mode and timing.
What does below 43 dB mean in real use?
It is the rated low-mode sound level. What you hear inside the RV still depends on fan speed, installation quality, roof construction and the distance from the ADB.
