Fogatti Tankless Water Heater Troubleshooting: Is Your Unit Receiving Power?

If your Fogatti tankless water heater is not responding properly, this guide will help you troubleshoot the issue step by step. Follow the checks below to test power, inspect the water flow sensor, and identify possible causes before moving on to gas pressure testing.

Problem 1: Monitoring Screen Not Responding but Unit Is On

If the monitoring screen is not responding but the unit appears to be on, the first step is to test the DC voltage using a multimeter.

  • Connect the voltage meter to the board connection cable.
  • Connect the voltage meter to the controller connection.

Note: When you turn the unit on, you should be able to hear a metallic click coming from the board.

Problem 2: Monitoring Screen Is On but No Response from the Water Heater

If the monitoring screen is on but the water heater does not respond, the issue may be related to a faulty water flow sensor.

  • Release the pressure by opening the pressure relief valve.
  • Blow compressed air into the water flow sensor.
  • If the airflow does not activate the exhaust or trigger the sensor, the sensor may need to be replaced.
  • A working sensor should respond to the compressed airflow and activate the exhaust.
  • Also check the plumbing to see whether there is any water flow stress on the system.

Next Step: Check the Gas Pressure

If you have already checked the voltage and water pressure on your Fogatti tankless water heater, the next recommended step is to check the gas pressure.
